Lots of Weddings

I’ve been doing mostly wedding event paintings in 2010.  I love being a part of someone’s most special day ever, and I always get a piece of cake!

I wanted to tell you about my most recent wedding reception commission.  The room was beautiful and everyone was dressed so nicely–the cake was good too.  But before the cake, when the bride and groom took the floor for their first dance, I started painting away.  I painted that moment of the reception, not because they looked so wonderful and happy, but because they had chosen for me to paint that part.

And it was a good thing too!

It turns out that the photographer missed the first dance!  Everyone else was watching the happy couple and no one thought to pull out their iPhone, and I don’t think there was a videographer.  So it turns out the only record of their first dance is my event painting!  I’m so glad that was the part they asked me to paint.

They picked up the painting a few days ago and love it!  Here it is:
